Home buyers and the surrounding Canberra community will have an opportunity to see the expansive grounds of Stockland’s $260 million village development, The Parks – Red Hill, following the completion of civil works this week.
Located in one of Canberra’s most sought-after neighbourhoods just six kilometres south of the CBD, this latest milestone in the development takes the sophisticated community of apartment residences, terraces and homes one step closer to delivering a premium, urban lifestyle in Red Hill.
Construction at The Parks has been underway since late 2019 and with civil works now complete, the construction fences will come down and locals will be able to see the developing community take shape. The Parks will comprise of 108 single-dwelling sites comprising 25 land lots and 83 premium, high quality terraces. All the available land lots have already been sold.
Calum Ross, Regional Development Manager at Stockland, said this milestone was a good opportunity for buyers to get a better visual understanding of the lifestyle and location offered at The Parks.
“Completion of civil works is an important milestone. It’s the foundation for what will be an urban, vibrant community, which will incorporate wide, tree-lined streets, open spaces, bike paths, expansive views. It is also ideally located and walking distance to local shops and services.
“We’re excited to show buyers and residents what The Parks will offer. Along with our innovative Sales and Display Suite, where people can experience the luxurious furnished terrace and apartment display for themselves, they can also get a better vision of the community as a whole. Customers can now view where their property will be located and also the surrounding spaces.
“It also begins the countdown to the start of construction of The Parks’ first stage of forty-one Terraces spanning 14 architectural designs.”
As master developer for this renewal project, Stockland has partnered with respected local property company DOMA and will deliver 25 land lots and 83 high quality premium terraces, with DOMA planning to build 136 apartments across six buildings.
To reach this key stage, Stockland has recorded a number of construction achievements. About 18,000 square metres of asphalt, over 3,500 metres of kerbs and guttering, and nearly 2,000 metres of sewage pipework has been laid. New streetlights, electrical substations and 2,200 metres of stormwater drainage have also been installed.
Stockland’s sales partner at Colliers International, Director Residential Land, Josh Reid said: “Stockland has a reputation for delivering high quality communities and that is clearly evident with the completion of civil works and the beautiful streetscapes on show. We can’t wait to see the construction of the first homes and terraces completed so residents can enjoy their new community”
